As explained in Ben Miller’s article in the Denver Business Journal, the community of “Greenfield” may be the hottest selling neighborhood in the Denver-Metro area in 2017.

Greenfield is located in South Aurora/Centennial area.  It’s a planned community in the Cherry Creek School District with pool, tennis courts, fishing pond, trails — some of the more typical amenities found in newer suburban neighborhoods.   This “hottest” neighborhood ranking comes from RedFin.

Nela Richardson, chief economist for Redfin, explained that in 2017 people are looking beyond the more expensive areas near the center of the city, to neighborhoods in “edge” communities that deliver urban convenience at lower prices.

This Redfin data seems to support word on the street, that younger buyers are looking to move back out to the suburbs.  It will be interesting to determine whether this trend holds true over the next couple of years.
